Minutes from Greece Sunday 25/11/2018 A welcoming dinner took place at the Panellinion Hotel’s Restaurant, where the partners met each other for the first time. They were warmly welcomed by the headmaster of the school Mr Pafsanias Ntaralas, the coordinator of the project Mrs Eleni Avdelidou and the members of the Greek team Mrs Evangelia Mparouta and Mr Evangelos Avdelidis. Monday 26/11/2018 The workshop began at 9.00 in the library of the 2nd Epal of Trikala (Host Organization). At the beginning, there was a short welcoming speech by the headmaster of the school and the coordinator of the project and then all the partners presented their schools, cities and countries to each others. Just before lunch, a school tour took place and the partners had the chance to see classes and laboratories, to meet students and teachers of the host school. After lunch, Mrs Evangelia Mparouta made one presentation about the main goal, the motivation and the objectives of the project and then another presentation about the visit to a museum with the students from the Greek Erasmus team, the preparation and the activities that took place. Mrs Eleni Avdelidou made a presentation about the planned mobilities, the responsibilities of each partner, the etwinning space, the mobility tool, the project results platform, the dissemination activities and finally about the budget. All the power point presentations have already been sent by email to all partners and they will also be uploaded to MEDE Google drive.
Tuesday 27/11/2018 In the morning, all the participants visited the Town Hall where Mrs Vasilena Mitsiadi, the deputy President of Tsitsanis Museum, warmly welcomed them and then they visited the Tsitsanis Museum, the Old Prison and the Ottoman Bath. Mrs Grigoria Karatzouni, a museologist, made two presentations about how to make a museum corner and a museum kit and she and showed some museum kits to the partners. After that, the partners used a mobile application named “action bound” and through a “treasure hunt” they actually got acquainted with the town as a museum. They also collected some photos that were used in an art workshop on Friday. Wednesday 28/11/2018 A visit to the Museum of Education in Kalambaka city was made in the morning. After the guided tour, the participants were taught the Greek alphabet and tried to write their names using the Greek language. Then firstly, they visited the monastery of Varlaam in Meteora, took some material to use in next day’s workshop and secondly – after lunch- they visited the monastery of St Stefanos. Thursday 29/11/2018 A seminar about digital tools was taught by Mr Evangelos Avdelidis. He showed a previous cultural project about the “History of secondary education in Trikala” and also showed the Quizziz.com web2 tool. All the participants made their own quizzes. Mrs Eleni Avdelidou also showed the “Action Bound” app, in order to create a treasure hunt using mobile devices. After lunch, the etwinning space was presented and Mrs Helena Salazar, as more experienced in etwinning projects, shared some information with the partners. Friday 30/11/2018 In the morning three different activities took place in the art laboratory with the help of the art teachers of the school Mrs Evangelia Sarrou and Mr Stergios Stamos. The participants had the chance to use the collected material and they made “pieces” of art which had to do after the activities they made in the museums. After lunch, there was an evaluation of the meeting, a discussion and a definition of the future goals, tasks and activities to be done till the next meeting. The day ended with a social programme, a visit to Matsopoulos’ Mill (the Mill of Elves- Christmas Park).
